A Little R&R After the Crossing

After a long crossing, we were all keen for a little down time. As we were one of the first boats to arrive we settled in while most of the other boats, and all of the other family boats, came in.

The first thing we did was treat ourselves for a few days by renting a house where we could enjoy clean sheets, a bed that wasn't moving, toilets we could flush the toilet paper down, and a pool!

We spent a few days snorkeling, swimming, and lunching (yes, we are using "lunch" as a verb) at some beautiful spots in St. Lucia. This place as the best rum punch on the island :)

Our spot was the Rodney Bay Marina, where we enjoyed shore power, unlimited water, fresh coffee and smoothies in the morning, and lots of yummy veggie and seafood options in the restaurants that lined the quay.

A few more not-the-best drone shots due to the high winds of where we spent the last 10 days:

The best part of being in the marina for a while, of course, was the girls getting to spend LOTS of time with their new friends. Luna Bay ended up being the kid boat. Pretty much all waking hours we had a gaggle of kids on board, jumping on the trampolines, swinging around, watching movies, whatever. It was awesome, sometimes we didn't even know where all of the kids were from!

Our regulars were from Great Britain, Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Canada, and Hawaii!:

We even had a birthday party one night for Lauren (10, from Belgium). It was great to see how kids of ALL ages would come together to hang out and celebrate together:

Tomorrow we set out and start cruising again. We'll head south and explore more of St. Lucia before heading south to St. Vincent and the Grenadines for Xmas!
