After seeing Luna Bay off, we headed over to St. John for a few days. St. John is the most beautiful of the USVI's. It's forested and green, and about 2/3 of it is a protected National Park. It also has some of the most spectacular beaches anywhere in the world.
The house we rented was on the less populated far East of the island, way up in the mountains. It had an incredible view that looked eastward up the Sir Francis Drake Channel at the BVI's. Those of you that have been there may recognize Tortola to the left, Norman/Peter Island to the right, and Virgin Gorda in the distance. A pretty great place to spend a few days; it has a very laid back vibe, which is what what we were up for after a bit of logistics.
It was nice to do some hiking, which we hadn't done in a while. And of course we got in a healthy portion of beaching and swimming, too!
