Cefalu

Next up was the coastal town of Cefalu, a beautiful seaside town dominated by a big promontory. It reminded us a bit of Gibraltar.

Walking the ancient streets


Cefalu's main square is dominated by the Cathedral of Cefalu, built in the late 12th century. It's an example of Norman architecture (this part of Sicily was in Norman hands then), and is famous for its interior mosaics. The square was a great place for a coffee or an Aperol spritz!
