Next up was the Lie's (and the Ryans and the Raymonds...)! You'll notice a marked improvement in photo quality in this post, and that's all Gunther. You might remember some of his amazing shots earlier in our journey when he helped us sail from Gibraltar to the Canaries.

Kenning & Amstel were born 19 days apart. They've literally grown up together.
G got some pretty amazing shots of the boat(s), too. This one is from Saba Rock:
This next photo is actually really significant. This was the night we had all of our cruising friends and kids over for a farewell. We left the next day for the USVI in order to load Luna Bay on the ship that would transport her back to Europe. G went to shore and captured the moment:
...Also, Eric & Jill just happened to be doing a bareboat vacation in the BVIs (what, now we are even seeing friends serendipitously?!). So the former Detroiter boys and roommates got an impromptu few days of fun in the sun!
Of course we went to Foxy's (and waited 3 hours for dinner).
We also ran into the Raymonds. Mara and I have decided that we want to be Chip & Jan when we grow up, going to the Bitter End, sailing Hobies, and loving life!
