Marigot Bay, St. Lucia

We finally left the Rodney Bay Marina and headed to Luna Bay's first Caribbean anchorage, in Marigot Bay, St. Lucia. Certainly a beautiful spot....




But the highlight for sure was the snorkel session right around the corner at Anse Cochon. We saw barracuda, flounder, eels, and all kinds of fish. The most fascinating were these squid -- Mara and I have dived in many places and not seen squid before -- that were all lined up in a row. We couldn't figure out why they do that; maybe a defense mechanism / lookout thing?

The girls are now talking a lot about wanting to meet up with their new cruising friends for Christmas (especially Ryan). We keep telling her we don't control other boats' schedules, but we'll do the best we can! We think we'll cross over into St. Vincent and the Grenadines for Xmas, but no firm plans yet. Stay tuned!
